Let me present you Carles Gómez. I’m very lucky to have him in the studio working as my new photo assistant.
As you can see, he’s a very efficient and resolvent person. Expert on multitasking:

I should also admit that it’s the first time that I have been nervous during a photo session…
He is 3 months old here. His mom was holding him and my assistant Carles was making him smile. What a great team!
This image will be sold on Istockphoto and Getty Images so Jaume will pay himself his university degree…

In photography is not simply about taking the decisive moment. It’s more about being able to recognize this moment from all the other ones. The decisive work of the photographer starts when the camera is turned off. That’s why the edition skills are essential for a good photographer.

Comissioned pictures for the I Barcelona Beer Festival; a festival of craft beer.
The second edition of the festival will happen next month.
The images are shooted at the beautiful beer pub O’Brothers from Catalonia.
The model is the owner of the bar, Xabier Villafranca.
At the end of the photosession I wanted to take a portrait of him at his pub:
Look at the characters decorating the wall: Abraham Lincoln, Johnny Cash, Muhammad Alí and John Deere.

In April 2012 I went to Berlin to shoot some Real People portraits for my Real People Project.
During these days I met some european photography friends from Europe and we shared studio and resources for some photo sessions together.
It was a pleasure to shoot at the Wille B. Thomas studio and taking a portrait of him.
Also at his studio, I took a a pair of pictures for stock with the great models Pascal Flor and Laura Gento. Both of them did an amazing job.
This is not exactly a comissioned work, but I want to share the work of this graphic design studio from Ohio, United States.
Michael, from Supersolid Studio decided to use two of my images to produce a pair of selfpromotion projects for his portfolio.
One of them is this poster with a smiling man:
The other one is a magazine including a fictional article about me and with one of my Real People pictures on the cover:
I love how look both projects and all the other ones in his website. Fake articles about you are far better than real ones, because I’m very lazy when I have to answer questions…

First of all, sorry for the delay on my blog.
I have been active, shooting and all that during the last months. And, of course, I’m still alive 
I worked a lot but, being honest, I have been so busy in many fronts and I had no time to update my blog.
During these months I left my old studio (what was a headache), I bought a new studio (what has been a bigger headache) and, the most important thing… I had my first son!
