Lizard. Portrait

July 29th, 2008 — 9:11pm

This aristocratic lizard has had the honour of being the first portrait that my new Canon EOS1ds MarkIII has done.

I wanted to test it in an high contrast and light/shadow context with a lot of tones and gradients to discover how good the sensor was… and it has been superb! Thebody, well, it’s more comfortable than my old analogic EOS1N in spite of being bigger.

Hope you like it (the lizard, I say :P)

Sixty style. Portrait.

July 23rd, 2008 — 9:00pm

This is another portrait of the sixty people I’m doing these days.

Song:  Moon river (Greyhound) <—- I know, I know, it’s a cover and the Andy Williams’ voice is more beautiful, but this is absolutely fantastic! This song is dedicated to Doublecloth for the Tiffany’s reminiscences and the problems with squares, lines and diamond forms.

Mountain bikers

July 18th, 2008 — 10:31am

A pair of valencian mountain bikers visited my studio yesterday (my brother and a friend). They didn’t want to go without a photo, of course…

Do the dog!

July 16th, 2008 — 8:42pm

It’s the opposite of what I’m doing these days… I’m working hard!

But today I want to show you the portrait of a mixed breed dog. His name is Eto’o.

The problem… well, you know my problem… I love bizarre things and Lluís Niubò loves it too (he hates the wine, really!).

Song: Red red wine (Tony Tribe, 1968) <— It’s my favourite cover of the Neil Diamond’s song and not that UB40 shit!

July 10th, 2008 — 12:04pm

Today I had another session with that ferocious but beautiful dog (…). After that, I will be some days without working because I finished the session completly bited and I have lost my shooting finger. Dangerous job…

PS: I’m very confortable with these new lighting techniques that I’m testing in this and some of the last shoots. You can tell me your opinion!

Song: Jolene (Dolly Parton) I think the great Sisters of Mercy cover of that song is a good choice too (the dog thinks that yes).

Shutter

July 6th, 2008 — 7:48pm

Sometimes, the more simple is the harder. This shoot was more difficult than I expected before starting the session.

This shutter isn’t only a stock picture, but the sketch for my next tattoo.
