And now an extra bonus. After the session, my friend and photographer Marc Vicente entered in my studio and decided that the model and me needed a portrait together. This is the result:

International Amnesty Spain catalogue

September 21st, 2008 — 8:43pm

Just finished this work for International Amnesty. The pictures are for the International Amnesty Spain catalogue 2008/2009.

They wanted real people and not models (well, you can see Lluís Niubò, but he is not a model but an actor and he’s more or less real people). I made some dyptics and a tryptic playing with the individual pictures and with the relation between them.

All the shots are made with a Canon Eos1ds MarkIII, a 50mm lens and Bowens flash units.

Josep Ardiaca. Portrait.

September 18th, 2008 — 11:22pm

Josep Ardiaca is an adventurer. Also, he’s a photographer. One day he gone to the doctor and the doctor ordered him to left the camera at home some days (he ALWAYS has a giant lowepro bag at his back and a big tripod with him, always, really, always…).

He discovered the photography in Brazil, when a postal card photographer asked him if he wanted to make some money as assistant. Now he’s the photographer and shots landscapes for postal cards, books, magazines, institutions and corporations and a lot of pictures of buildings and spaces for architects and builders. He has a company named Amaneceres fotográficos and he works more than the doctor wants.

Also, he’s my friend.

The Mirror. A Serie. I

September 16th, 2008 — 9:42am

Today I start a portrait series called “The Mirror”. The people that appears in this serie is part of my life and I decided that this is a good moment to portray all my people.

All the photos are taken with a similar light scheme and the focus is only in the eyes, playing with a very narrow deep of field.

Hope you like it. I’ll post more portraits in the next days. Sorry for the low activity in the forum these days, but I’m very busy with the photos of the International Amnesty Spain catalogue.

The complete serie is available to purchase here on Istockphoto.

Joan Alvado. Portrait.

September 2nd, 2008 — 10:26pm

After some vacations and some weeks of hard work, I’m here again!

I have a lot of stuff to show all you, but I’m going to start with a portrait that I have finished just now.

The man in the photo is my friend Joan Alvado, trombonist and photographer. You can listen his trombon in Soweto, a traditional ska band from Barcelona (they’re an amazing band!!). As photographer, you can see some of his works here.
