I’m back from my holidays, honeymoon and some work days in Canada.

But I can’t take more photos. My camera is broken. What was suposed to be between 6-10 days to repair it (Canon dixit: because it’s a professional camera and they understand my work depends of it), it’s being actually a month without my camera or any news about it. When I called to the technical service asking what about my camera, what about the maximum 10 day to wait and what about my jobs planned for this month they laughed and said: you know… it’s august. What I say is: Fuck you!!!! Thank you very much, Canon and your-more-than-6000-euros-best-camera-in-the-market-for professionals-with-more-than-thousands-and-thousands-of-fucking-shots-waranted. Maybe they want to explain now to some of my clients that I need to cancell the photosesions planned for the end of this month (and hope I will have it for the next one).

Also, maybe they can explain why my camera is not in warranty one year and three days after buying it if the European laws say that electronic equipments have two years of warranty.

Canon, professional photographers trust in you!!!!

This week has been full of surprises for me! After a first ugly monday because I just bought a new car and I’m sick at home without being able to drive it, I received lots of good news from tuesday.

First thing, I obtained the diamond canister on Istockphoto.com. It means that I had more than 25000 downloads of my pictures. I’m very happy with it!

Second good thing is that one of my pictures has been selected again in the Istockphoto and Getty Images HOT SHOTS, a selection of the best pictures of both sites. This is the picture:

This is the 2008 resume video of my picures.

2008 has been the year of the change between two diferent styles and paths: I left the still life to start a new career on portrait and people photography and I think that the video is a good way to celebrate the change and the end of the first year as a portrait photographer.

The slogan is: fuck tomatoes!

Today I start a portrait series called “The Mirror”. The people that appears in this serie is part of my life and I decided that this is a good moment to portray all my people.

All the photos are taken with a similar light scheme and the focus is only in the eyes, playing with a very narrow deep of field.

Hope you like it. I’ll post more portraits in the next days. Sorry for the low activity in the forum these days, but I’m very busy with the photos of the International Amnesty Spain catalogue.

My web and photos have appeared in Bloc.tdi, a tv magazine of diferent tdi (interactive digital television) televisions about cultural themes. This program is shown in the TDI televisions of Pirineu, Mediterrània, Costa Brava, Vallès, Lleida, Catalunya Central, Ebre, Balears, Catalunya Nord, Llobregat i l’Alguer.

I’m an absolut disaster. This month (I’m almost late for one day…) is the first birthday of the blog!!! I started it in May 2007. Now he’s learning to walk by himself.

To celebrate it, I prepared a recopilation my favourite photos I have made in the first year of the blog. I realise that I have done more work than I thought!!!!

Thanks to all you few unconditionals of the blog from here and from beyond the sea, specially thanks for the suport to the trio lalala (Numero f, Uno de los nuestros and Theyedropper), el Barbón!, Isaías, Judy Farr and the new arrived Doublecloth.

As you can see, I have been very inactive in the past weeks. My loved routine has been altered by a good notice. The nice and beautiful people of Istockphoto have offered me to work for them as image inspector. Of course, I have said “yes”. It’s a big honour for me, because I think Istockphoto is the most important royalty free photography bank in the world.

Then, these days I’m working and studying a lot and I’m childly happy.

Today, I have had a vegetative day. Nothing of work, nothing of activity, nothing of nothing.

I was bored and, then, I decided to take some selfportraits to show the face I have when i don’t work. We also can say that this is my new face as inspector.

I don’t recognize myself.
